Deleting your account

Before you delete

  • Export your data. Deletion is permanent.
  • Cancel your subscription.
  • Remove teammates. If you’re the owner, transfer ownership or remove everyone else first.

Deleting

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. We ask you to confirm with your password. Then we ask again, because this is permanent.

What happens

  • Your account is marked for deletion immediately.
  • You lose access to the app right away.
  • After 30 days, all your data is permanently erased.

The 30-day window is a grace period. Email hello@getdotio.com within 30 days and we restore your account. After 30 days, data is unrecoverable.

What we keep

For legal and compliance reasons, a few things are kept after deletion:

  • Aggregated, anonymized usage data.
  • Financial records of your payments to us (required by tax law).
  • Records of any legal disputes, if applicable.

None of this identifies you personally or contains your business’s financial data.
