Credits power Dotio’s AI
Every paid plan includes a monthly allowance of credits. Credits are what Dotio uses to do work for you.
Every time you ask a question, create something, generate a report, or run a forecast, you use some credits. Simple questions use very few. Heavy work uses more.
Do I see the credit cost?
Yes. Every interaction shows how many credits it used. Over time you’ll get a feel for what costs what.
Watching your balance
Your current balance is in the top right of the app. Click it to see recent usage.
What happens when you run out
When your balance hits zero, Dotio’s AI pauses. You still have full access to the app — your data, reports, bookkeeping — just not the AI until your next billing period or until you top up.
We send notifications when your balance is low (10%) and when it’s empty.
Unused credits
At the end of each billing period, leftover credits carry forward one period. If you don’t use them, they expire the period after. You never waste a month of unused credits, but you don’t accumulate forever.
Add-on credits
Between billing cycles, you can buy credit packs any time. Add-on credits don’t expire at the end of the period — they stay in your account until used.
Add-on credits are consumed before your regular monthly credits, so you use the shorter-lived ones first.
